Peppered Goat

 

What you need:

  • 1 lb of raw goat meat ( an substitute with oxtail or lamb piece)
  • 3 tbsp of BasiLe
  • 2 tbsp of Best of the West
  • 2-3 habanero peppers
  • ½  whole red onion
  • 2 whole mini Shallots
  • ½ of red and green bell peppers
  • 3-5 tbsp of olive oil

What to do:

Goat:

  • Cut into small cube size pieces, clean thoroughly, and season raw goat meat with 1 tsp best of the west and bring to a boil for about 15 mins, until medium tender
  • Finish off in oven on 350 for about 20-25 mins uncovered

 Pepper mix:

  • Thinly slice shallots, set aside
  • Chop up bell peppers, slice red onions and hot peppers and set aside
  • Heat oil on medium to high heat, add pepper and onion mix to pot and cook for 5 mins
  • Add in BasiLe and Best of the West and mix together. Add more to taste
  • Remove goat from oven, and fry in pepper mix for about 10-15 mins

Top off with cut shallots or rosemary and enjoy!
